Newark Women In Public Art: She Made Up Her Mind to Get Free

Be among the first to receive the Newark Public Library’s exclusive limited edition library cards featuring the latest artists from the Newark Artist Collaboration, including Shoshanna WeinbergerDanielle Scott and Kelley Prevard, along with a special children’s card featuring the work of Cazorla + Saleme.

The Women’s History Month celebration continues with a panel discussion of Newark Women in Public Arts at 6pm. In honor of the one-year anniversary of Newark’s Harriet Tubman monument, hear from the artists behind the Newark Artist Collaboration’s new multi-site installation surrounding Tubman Square. The panel will also feature Aisha Glover, Head of Audible’s Global Center for Urban Development and Rebecca Jampol, lead coordinator for the Newark Artist Collaboration and co-director of Project for Empty Space, and will be moderated by Lauren Craig, Executive Director of Newark Arts, with poet MiaX opening the discussion with a poem about Harriet Tubman.
