NDD Fitness Club

The NDD Fitness Club (Enhanced NDD Walking Club) is a great way to keep fit and meet downtown neighbors, while also providing a chance to see the beautiful architecture, horticulture, and other sights the downtown has to offer.

The NDD Fitness Club season runs from April through October and offers walks starting at lunchtime and increasing in frequency throughout the season as well as building up to other exercise activities. During these walks participants receive health tips from a certified instructor and learn new exercises to keep their bodies in motion.

The NDD Fitness Club is free and open to all and has attracted a variety of members from residents to employees to students. All participants are eligible to collect NDD Fitness Club gear as the season goes on, including water bottles, t-shirts, hats, and reusable bags. As an incentive to increase the health benefits of exercise, each NDD Fitness Club season ends with prizes for healthy accomplishments, such as the most activities attended, most steps taken, most weight lost, and so forth.
