The NDD Walking Club is a free and friendly walking group open to all. With four walks a day, the Walking Club is an excellent way to explore the City, meet new people, get your heart pumping and start to live healthier. Whether part of the workforce, a resident, or an interested visitor, all are welcome and encouraged to join our crew, led by Brandi Coleman, a Certified Personal Trainer and accompanied by one of our own NDD Ambassadors! The walks incorporate light upper body and cardio exercises throughout to increase your fitness level and keep you motivated.
The NDD made getting fit accessible to everyone with a “stationary walk” located outside of PSE&G Plaza. Between 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm, each day, the NDD personal trainer holds an in-place workout where attendees can work out at their own pace, and get the same health benefits of the traditional walks.
As usual, three other walking times that take people throughout the vibrant downtown are available. These walks show off the architecture, parks, and retail of downtown Newark, while allowing participants to shed pounds and receive fitness and nutrition advice.
